Building Stronger Systems, From the Ground Up

Across much of WA, farms are doing more with less — less rainfall, less fertility, and less time between climate shocks. It’s not that farmers aren’t managing well. It’s that the systems they rely on are becoming too fragile to hold.

We work with farmers to strengthen what the farm depends on — soil, water, and life.

We start with the whole farm — not as a set of problems, but as a living landscape to strengthen. We find the key constraint — the bottleneck limiting function — then scaffold around it to help the land work better, for longer.

We’re dryland specialists who design for feedback, not just inputs — and we walk the paddock with you, tuning the system so the farm keeps working as conditions shift. Carbon’s an outcome….but it’s not the reason we’re here.
Farmers have been managing ecosystems for generations - often without recognition, and without reward. It’s time that changed.

Boots on the ground. No matter the conditions.

Located in Western Australia, Carbon Sync partners with farmers to build healthier, more resilient farms - while getting paid for it.

For generations, farmers have supported the ecosystems that agriculture depends on — without recognition, and without reward. We’re here to change that.

We co-develop functional farming projects that reflect the real work happening across the landscape — not just tonnes of carbon sequestered, but the return of resilience.

Our projects are scientifically grounded, adaptive, and built to last. They generate credits — but more importantly, they support stronger farms through better systems.

And we bring more than advice — we bring tools, data, design, and commitment, on the ground. We're in it for the long haul.

What people are saying

  • The Cost-Benefit Report prepared by Carbon Sync was thorough and clear and outlined in detail the possibilities for our specific farmland. We feel that we have a clear contract, with great foundations, that will complement our current farming practices well for the duration of the 25-year soil carbon farming project. We have gone forward with confidence that we will continue to improve farm practices, learn and grow over this time with a potential for an economic reward down the track. We are looking forward to working with Carbon Sync.

Soil Carbon Farming Projects in Western Australia

Soil carbon sequestration projects currently registered with the Clean Energy Regulator in Western Australia.

We’re proud to be working across around 15,000 hectares of WA farmland — from Albany to Geraldton, and out to Tammin.

It’s the largest footprint of its kind in the state, and it reflects a growing commitment from farmers who are ready to build more resilient, functional systems from the ground up.
