Hey There.

Thanks for taking the time to learn how we work.

This guide outlines the process — the approach we take, the kinds of tools we’ll build with you, and how each step fits into the bigger picture: restoring function, layer by layer.

We’re here with you, from the ground up.

From Go, to Whoa.

We start by listening, walking the land, and sketching the plan — this is how we get your project ready to take root

Laying The Groundwork

What Happens

What It Looks (and Feels) Like

Carl Smith, our BDM, will come out to your place (or jump on the phone) to talk through what a functional farming project might look like for you. No pressure — just a conversation.

You start with a chat

If it feels like something worth exploring, you commission a custom Cost-Benefit Report — tailored to your land, your enterprise, and your goals.

You decide to run the numbers

This is where we really talk — about your hopes, your constraints, your vision for the farm. We bring the big picture. You bring the deep knowledge of your land. This is the fodder for our CB report.

You sit down with Carl again

About 2 weeks later, we bring the report. We present it, and talk through what’s next

Over the table, in person. A real discussion about what’s possible.

You decide to go ahead

If it makes sense for you, we formalise the project and get started.

Kirsten, our soil scientist meets you on farm to co-design your project — grazing, cover, timing, interventions — all rooted in your landscape. She’s probably already got some great ideas to pitch.

The Dr of Dirt shows up

Kirsten drafts your Land Management Strategy

Not a document for the shelf — a practical, paddock-informed living plan that reflects your farm and your future. A future you co-designed with us.

We handle the compliance — Remy’s got you covered

Registrations, paperwork, reporting — all covered by our operations manager, Remy. You keep farming. He keeps track.

Kirsten and Kwan Yu design a custom Stratification and Soil Sampling Plan using our dryland-specific, evidence-based method. No shortcuts — just a rigorous, high-integrity approach to set your project up right.

The soil sampling plan gets really smart

We sample the soil — properly, and thoroughly

This is where the rubber hits the road. Baseline carbon is measured with precision, recorded with care, and stored with the integrity your project deserves.

About 2-3 months from submitting your registration, your project is declared

This is day one of a new kind of farming — built for the long term, shaped by function, and rewarding you for the system you’re setting in motion.

The Tools In Our Shed

We know farmers take their tools seriously — so do we.
These are the products, plans, and guides we’ve built to help your project take shape, hold together, and deliver value over time.
They’re practical, paddock-ready, and built to work across the whole system.

The Cost-Benefit Report is where we shape the “what if.”

It gives you a clear picture of what a project could mean for your farm — in dollars, in soil and landscape function, and in the kind of future you’re building.

The Land Management Strategy captures the decisions you’ve made — together with us — about how to build carbon, resilience, and productivity into your farm over time. It’s not a document for the shelf. It’s a living, working plan for the land.

The Project Stratification & Soil Sampling Plan is a specialised spatial planning tool that maps how your landscape works — and how we’ll measure change over time.
Designed in-house for dryland conditions, this plan uses soil, climate, management, and remote sensing data to divide your farm into meaningful zones. It ensures soil carbon is sampled with integrity, efficiency, and real connection to how the system functions.
